Choose real twilight when the property itself performs at dusk. A waterfront home in Stuart with dock lighting, a Jupiter estate with a lit pool and summer kitchen, a Vero Beach barrier island home with an ocean sky behind it — these are scenes an edit can approximate but not replicate. Real twilight captures genuine reflections on the water, the true color of the sky, and the way the home actually glows at dusk. For $200, it is a small line item on a luxury listing's marketing budget.

A simple rule of thumb: if the twilight image is about curb appeal, go virtual. If the twilight scene itself — water, lighting, sky — is a selling feature of the property, shoot it for real.

There is also a timing consideration worth knowing. Florida's twilight window is short — usable dusk light lasts roughly twenty to thirty minutes, which means one real twilight appointment covers one property. During peak listing season, those sunset slots book up first, so if you want a real twilight shoot timed to your listing's launch date, reserve it a few days ahead.
